Journey to the Center of the Earth

A very, light retelling of the book of the same name. This is definately one of those movies you watch with the family when you don't feel like watching a disney-level-comatose-inducing family movie. Basically a Geologist stumbles into the center of the earth and has to escape. All I can say is, CGI dinosaurs and geology jokes.

Megamind

Awesomely funny, it's half parody of every hero movie ever, and then it takes over on it's own and really becomes it's own story. It's about the Supervillian Megamind that accidentally succeeds at killing his mortal enemy, Metroman. Then, he realizes how boring life is without a hero, so he creates a new one Titan, to challenge him. Unfortunately, things don't work out as he planned. Hillarity ensues.

1408 is a physiological thriller that takes place almost entirely in one room. It's one of the few movies that really messed with my head. If you let yourself fall into this movie, you will get a least slightly tweaked by the end of the movie. Mike Enslin is a hack writer of "ghost story" books. He goes to the Dolphin hotel and stays an hour in the "haunted" 1408. The movie moves in real time at that point, and you watch his hour with him.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Humor, all of it, contained in one movie. Everything that has ever been funny is in this movie. I don't even have to describe it to you, as you already have heard every joke in it. Anyway, it's about a group of anchormen, and the first time they have to deal with an "anchorlady". Sexism and humor ensues.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a Disney movie, that being said, it does tend to take the "safe" way through the movie. More comedy than action, less violence than there should be. Still, it is pretty dark for a Disney, and I'd say (obviously) that it's worth the watch. It's a movie about Wizards. Wizards that Kamehameha blue stuff at each other. Fuck. Yes. Even as cheesy as it gets, you'll want to Kamehameha along with them.
