Apparently you get a pretty awesome movie out of it. It's truly a homage to how movies where made back in the day, but with all of the action of modern movies. It's ET meets Cloverfield and I loved it.

X-Men: First Class

Okay, one thing needs to be said before I get started, I AM NOT an X-Men comic book fan. I've never really gotten into the story, and honestly I'm tired of the sob story behind the mutants in the comics, the shit just gets old fast.

That being said, I didn't go into rage mode when I noticed that almost none of the characters in the movie made sense canonically to the story of X-Men. In fact, the only part of X-men that I still find interesting is the relationship between Professor X and Magneto, and they explore that in the film. That was the reason I watched this movie and I enjoyed it, if you're a huge X-Men fan, you might not like this.

Jaws 3-D

I feel the need to point out, this is NOT a blog about good movies, but about fun movies that you should watch "on a rainy day" that being said; This is the funniest "Thriller" film I've ever seen. It's not at all a good movie, and it is incredibly dated. Still, I love it. Take a shot every time a 3-D effect occurs (especially funny since it won't actually be 3-D without the glasses.)

Just got around to watching this, finally a good sequel to Predator. Not that either movie is all that great, but it's a FUN movie. That's what is important here. Not much else to the movie, but that's all it needs.

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls

Not that Ace Ventura 1 isn't funny, but this sequal is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I could quote this movie all day, and it's just so absurd. This is one of Carrey's funniest movies and I really enjoyed it. Follow the Pet Detective to Africa as he finds the location of the Sacred Animal SHIKAKAH! He is under a short time limit to prevent war between two tribes that worship the bat.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite movies of all times. It's about the King of Holloween, Jack Skellington, growing restless with his position. He stumbles upon the magical world of Christmas and decides that the next logical step for him to take is to run Christmas. He then gets all of the demons and monsters from Holloween Town to help him make his Christmas.

This of course includes kidnapping the REAL Santa Claus. Man, I love this movie.

Braindead (Dead Alive)

The funniest zombie movie ever. Also, probably the goriest zombie movie I've ever seen. The movie never takes itself too seriously, and because of that it is never really all that scary but it is thoroughly fucked up. There isn't much I can do to explain the plot of the movie, girl meets boy - finds out that she is destined to be with boy through tarot - boy dates girl - boy's mother turned into zombie - boy keeps zombie mom in basement - zombie priest - lawn mover... oh, see none of that makes any sense out of context. Just watch the movie.
